Don't take my word for it. Harold M. Clemens hates them, too, and he's in a much better position to hate them than I am. He writes about his distaste for the ads on his blog, ghetto uprising.

"this commercial angers me each time I see it. it's a cute reminder that mainstream America adores poor African-American youth's culture, albeit usually long after we've conceived whatever products, while it simultaneously scorns and/or fears such youth themselves. when we participate in our culture, it's illegitimate, ridiculous, even deviant. when "they" co-opt elements of our culture and imitate us for vivacity, tepid rebellions or profit, it's "cool."
behold White Privilege."
Wouldn't it be great if someone did a YouTube remake of this ad with real people?
