Lindsay Lohan's $100 Million E-Trade Lawsuit May Have A Point

Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against E-Trade based on a recent commercial she feels capitalizes on her "name brand" recognition.

The video in question can be viewed above and it is part of E-Trade's ongoing theme of baby voice-over commercials. Lohan and her lawyers take particular exception to the baby who is referred to as "that milkaholic Lindsay" and suggest this is an inference to Lindsay and her one-make Hollywood wrecking crew of terror. The basis of the lawsuit stems from the assertion that Lindsay is a one name celeb, on par with the likes of Madonna, Cher and Oprah. Ohhh-k.

It may sound like the foundation of a ridiculous claim, however, new details have emerged about the brainstorming process which went into creating the "Milkaholic" character, and while there's no smoking gun per se, there are some startling characterizations when you compare the two.

Initially the baby character in question was called "Deborah" and some words to describe this fictitious little trollop aren't terribly flattering: "cockadoodle" "leaking diaper."

However, when Deborah was scratched off and "Lindsay" took over, then we get adjectives like "gutter hound" and "skanky cake." Pardon my eyeroll.

So on one hand, we have a pretty good case that E-Trade DID have Lindsay Lohan in mind when creating their toddler "milkaholic" named Lindsay. On the other hand, how sad is Lindsay that she feels a kinship to a fictitious character decribed as a "gutter hound, skanky cake, milkaholic."

Come to think of it, that sort of sounds like me last Saturday. We'll keep you posted on this riveting story.
