Nicolas Cage Says He's Broke, Claims Funds Were Mismanaged

Actor Nicholas Cage has confirmed tabloid rumblings regarding his financial problems. Various stories over the last year of Cage unloading some of his large properties have led some to speculate if the Oscar-winning actor was suffering from money problems.
Unfortunately, these rumors turned out to be true.
Despite his impressive earnings, close to $20 million per film, Nic Cage says he's broke. The National Treasure star owes over $6 million in back taxes to the IRS and has been forced to sell properties in the UK, New Orleans, NY and Germany.
Cage blames the financial crisis on his former business manager Samuel Levin and has a lawsuit pending seeking $20 million in damages.
It's a telling sign of the times when a guy who makes close to $20 million per film can't pay his bills. What hope is there for the rest of us?
On the bright side, at least Bernie Maddoff can say this one was NOT his fault.
Perhaps Hollywood can do a remake of my favorite Nic Cage film, Valley Girl, and scare up some cash for poor Nic. I'd pay ten bucks to see a middle age Randy, or not.
