 Tiger Woods, Rachel Uchitel

Rachel Uchitel (pictured above), the first mistress tied to the Tiger Woods cheating scandal, was reportedly paid $10 million dollars in exchange for her confidentiality.

As some of you may recall (I keep trying to forget) Rachel was the mistress who was flown to Australia to meet with Tiger and was being tailed by the National Enquirer. Rachel is said to be the most informed, and perhaps involved, of Tiger's some 12+ mistresses.  She must know an AWFUL lot to be paid $10 million - considering the level of nastiness we already know about Tiger's sexual dalliances.

According to TMZ, if you compare what the other mistresses were paid, some are said to have received several hundred thousands, while some received nothing, it's pretty clear Tiger was deeply involved with Rachel.  I'd be willing to be he must have brought her into his confidence and told her some very damaging things, either about his marriage, career or both, for her to pose such a threat.  We already know what kind of kinky guy Tiger is, so it's not like there's much left to shock us in the bedroom department.

Also interesting, is how this might impact Elin, Tiger's wife and any settlement she might get if they do get divorced. So far, she's sticking with Tiger, though fairly reluctantly and from a distance.

Compare Rachel's settlement with what other A.M's received, if they got anything at all. We're told several mistresses got several hundred thousand dollars, and others got nothing. That speaks volumes about how much Rachel knows. TMZ says "reports that Elin could get $300 million under the prenup are absurd. It's more likely the prenup is in the $5 - 10 million range, with provisions for support. But insiders tell us — with the backdrop of Rachel's settlement — there's no way Tiger would get off cheaper than $20 mil."

So, looking deeper, it seems Elin may not be blindly going along with a marriage reconciliation, despite major Tiger's major betrayal, but rather buying time for more money.

It's all so jaded, cynical and perverse.
