Walt Disney World Is Even More Magical During The Holidays
The Christmas holiday is a very special time to go to the Walt Disney World resort. The theme parks are decked out in spectacular Christmas decorations and lights like no place else. In fact, at night when the holiday lights come on you can't believe it's the same park it was during the day!
Disney has many special holiday events going on throughout the Disney resort from Nov. 10th to New Year's Day. With so much to do it can be confusing trying to figure out what to take in on your Disney trip. So here are a few tips to help you make the best of the Walt Disney World Christmas holiday shows.
Of the four theme parks at Disney, the Magic Kingdom is the one with the most holiday-themed shows and displays. Each day and night there will be special Christmas live action shows with your favorite Disney characters in holiday wear.
During the day visitors can stop by the Disney character meet and greet stations where you and the kids can get a holiday picture taken with your favorite Disney character in their holiday best! Special holiday parades will also happen each day several times a day, with Christmas floats you can't see any other time of the year.
At night the parks come alive and Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom lights up with thousands of beautiful glowing and sparkling lights which change color. Hands downs, this is one of the most spectacular sights you will ever see.
Disney has expanded it's regular nighttime closing fireworks, by featuring special Christmas displays at each park. If you are at the Magic Kingdom, be sure you stand in front of the castle as the fireworks shoot out behind it and above.
