The announcements took place on CBS Early Show early this morning. Little did Blake Shelton realize, the title track single "Hillbilly Bone." would receive a nomination for Vocal Event of the Year category - with the fastest rising single of his career.
Also nominated for awards were Lady Antebellum, who have been tearing up the charts and leading with seven award nods. Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert came in a close second with six nominations each. Taylor Swift ended up with five along with Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney bring in four.
Other nominees included the Zac Brown Band, Jamey Johnson, and Chris Young.
This year's award ceremony will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 18th, 2010. Now, aside from who will win the awards, the only questions left will be: Who will play in the ACM Annual Charity Golf Tournament? That is still to be decided.
