Hugh Grant has decided being a life-long bachelor isn't such a great idea.

In a statement Grant said: "I should settle down. It's all my fault, I've had some lovely girlfriends," he told talk show host Jonathan Ross. He added that he was dreading his upcoming 50th birthday, saying "I don't know how to cope with it."

Does this mean it is too late for Hugh Grant to propose to a lady of his choice, or does he thinks that at such a late stage it is of no use getting married? Whatever the reason,  he now realizes and openly admits responsibility for being a bachelor as he approaches 50.

Grant admits he had ample opportunities during all these years to ask any of his "lovely" and famous girlfriends for marriage. Perhaps dating and living with cute girlfriends without any commitment seemed more appealing when he was young, but now that he is older and slowing down, he's ready to take on the responsibility of marriage and family life. Talk about having your cake and eating it too!

Hugh should realize it's never too late to find love or to partake in the joys of parenting, however, finding a suitable mate after such a "colorful' history might be prove itself a bit challenging.
