Lindsay Lohan Headed For Rehab For The Billionth Time
Our favorite toothead, Lindsay Lohan, is heading back to rehab. Again, for what I believe may be the 8th or 9th time. In fact, Lindsay's been in and out of rehab so many times they gave her a punchcard. On her tenth visit, she gets a buy one, get one free appointment at the free clinic. AWE-some!
All sarcasm aside, this is getting old. I enjoy watching the revolving door of stupidity as much as the next person, but isn't she supposed to stage a failed comeback in between each visit? In the last couple of weeks, just when we thought Lindsay's career was back on track — with a new movie (about a porn star, but hey) in the pipeline and rumors of interviews and a possible SNL hosting gig — it seemed like things were heading in the right direction.
Lindsay did her time, at least, some time, in both jail and rehab. Hell, even the doctors at rehab said she was healthy and free and clear to enjoy her life as a "recovering" substance abuser. Then, we find out about the failed court-ordered drug tests, two in fact. One of which was for cocaine.
I want to pretend I am shocked, but I am not. I want to pretend I didn't enjoy a certain amount of shadenfreude, but I did. It's hard to feel sorry for a person who just keeps throwing their life away and refuses to grow up, own up and suck it up. Lindsay, doesn't take her own life seriously, so why should we?
According to TMZ, Lindsay was checking in to a California rehab facility today. But of course, not before she orchestrated a little PR-driven visit to a homeless shelter for kids. Oh that Lindsay, she's such a giver.
Lindsay, at this point, even if you do ever clean up act, I don't think anyone will care. You only get so many chances before people just give up on you.
