Mel Gibson Still a Racist, Now With More Violence
The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into domestic abuse allegations against Mel Gibson. Gibson's reputation took a serious beating back in 2006 after a violent altercation with Malibu police during a DUI stop, when he made racial and anti-Semitic statements towards arresting officers. Mel did the usual: rehab, a round of interviews with seemingly sincere soundbites, he made apologies to the Jewish community and took all public opportunities to repent — but let's be honest — no one really believed he meant it.
Flash forward to 2009 and we have Mel Gibson separated from his wife of almost 30 years, Robyn, with news emerging of Gibson having a pregnant mistress. Not terribly pious of a man who lives and breathes the passion of the Christ.
Russian pianist Oksana Grigorieva, who had another child with British actor Timothy Dalton, had a daughter with Gibson in October of 2009, while Gibson's estranged wife filed for divorce in April of 2009. In April of 2010, it was widely reported that Grigorieva and Gibson had split, then in June she filed for a restraining order against Gibson.
That brings us to now, where we are hearing, almost daily, news of tapes featuring Gibson's hate-filled rants at his former mistress, including word of him physically abusing and injuring Oksana. Gibson's camp continues to deny the allegations, including a report that he punched her in the face and knocked out two of her teeth. Oksana's side has said Gibson is a danger to both her and their daughter Lucia, and that he refuses to pay child support.
It was a matter of he said/she said, with sites like Radar and TMZ claiming they heard tapes, surreptitiously recorded by Oksana, which had Mel using racial epithets as well as making verbal threats against his ex. Until now, it was rumor, but the above audio recording illustrates that the private Mel Gibson is just as vile as the so-call "reformed" Mel Gibson.
While I don't condone Oksana's using famous men and her uterus as an ATM, I also don't believe Mel is anything but a violent, hateful, racist, misogynist who hates Jews with a passion.
The good news: Mel's talent agency has dropped him. It's simply not a good idea to be anti-Semitic in Hollywood. Mel, perhaps you should finally disappear, your time is up.
