Nicki Minaj Attacked in Hotel Altercation
Just one week after the devastating murder of cousin Nicholas Telemaque, singer Nicki Minaj has had yet another incidence of violence inserted into her life. She's been staying at the Palomar Hotel in Dallas, TX and last night, police were called to the location after an altercation between Minaj and an unidentified male became ugly.
As the argument had begun to get heated, Minaj instructed a hotel staff member to call the police and in turn, they were both told to return to the room they'd been sharing in hopes that the fight would dissipate. However, when police arrived at the scene, they were shocked to discover that not only had the spat continued in their room, but things had become so intense that the man actually hit Minaj on the lower lip.
Minaj told police that she was not romantically involved with the man and that he'd already left the premises at the time of their arrival. Furthermore, she insisted that she did not want to press any charges against him. Police then drafted their reports and left the scene.
The singer has yet to release an official statement on the events at the Palomar so perhaps she's hoping that the attention surrounding this incident will go away on their own. After all, she and the rest of her family are still in mourning over the horrible death of her 27 year-old cousin. As previously mentioned, Telemaque passed away last weekend after being gunned down by unknown assailants in Brooklyn. Minaj's cousin Carol Clarke has even publicly stated, "Nicki is absolutely devastated as are all our family - she was very close to her cousin but now he has gone."
