March 6th is a big day, one that will have a huge effect on the gaming world. A...mass effect. Yes, that's right, Mass Effect 3 will be in US stores on March 6th, and we're all waiting to see whether or not it will live up to its expectations. Mass Effect 2's story ended with the DLC: Arrival, in which Commander Shepard was forced to kill thousands of colonists, ending him up in a trial on Earth, where Mass Effect 3's storyline will begin. Shepard is sitting in the middle of a trial, when a bunch of pissed off reapers begin to attack Earth. Shepard is forced to escape, considering that under normal circumstances Reapers are next to invincible. Thus begins something common to all Mass Effect games, creating a crew.

Shepard will have to travel to stars and planets afar, in order to find new friends to gain, and to re-recruit characters from previous games. Shepard and the Omni Blade One such new character is James Vega, voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. Along with new characters and a brilliant new story, for the first time ever, Mass Effect 3 includes a default melee weapon, the Omni Blade. The Omni Blade is an omni-tool that can be used as a weapon, yet still retains its futuristic, holographic design.

Mass Effect 3 contains three default campaign types. Action Mode is the mode in which you cannot choose your conversation replies, they are chosen automatically, and the combat difficulty is normal. In Story Mode, the player manually selects conversation dialogues, with a low combat difficulty. Finally, there is RPG mode, in which conversation options are manual, with a normal combat difficulty, like in most Mass Effect games. For the most part, the level-up system has not changed, along with the loyalty system. However, the loyalty/relationship system will most likely be much deeper, more emotional, and much hotter. To please everyone, Bioware has included both heterosexual and homosexual relationships in the game; this is a first (I think) in video games. As with the previous installments of the Mass Effect trilogy, every single choice you make in the game will either make an immediate impact, or strongly influence your player much later in the game. New gameplay options have also been included, such as improved sprinting, blindifire from cover, and combat rolling. For the most part, the level-up system has not been modified. New weapon customizations have been added, including scopes and special ammo. Due to the addition of the Omni Blade and various combat modifications, there will be improved combat in the games, which more flexibility. If the player holds down the melee button next to an enemy, under most circumstances, Shepard will deliver an instakill with his/her Omni Blade, however it is unlikely that this strategy will have any effect on bosses.
