Seriously...what kind of husband decides to stay in jail instead of getting out early to see the wife whom he supposedly loves dearly? The same wife who has declared her undying love for him (with one or two detours, of course, but who's counting...it isn't like he hasn't gotten a bit "distracted" himself behind bars)? The wife who gives him shoutouts (when she's capable of performing), who came to the trial (well, some of it), who visited him in prison (sometimes), who undoubtedly pays for his drugs (the most likely scenario)?
A selfish, self-centered, drug-addicted junkie, that's who. I doubt it will happen, but the best thing Amy could do is kick his sorry butt to the curb once he does finally wander out of jail. This guy doesn't want to get clean, like he's promised Mitch Winehouse, and he doesn't want to make a new life with his wife, helping her to kick her own filthy drug habit. No, like too many addicts, he just wants his own way and he's just biding his time until he gets it. At this rate, neither he nor Amy will be able to stay clean for any length of time at all once he does finally emerge.
Besides, why would he want to leave? All the drugs he wants and no Amy to beat him up! He's probably kicking himself for not thinking of it sooner!
I mean, they're basically trying to throw him OUT of jail, and he just won't go away!
