Angelina Jolie Might Vote For Barack Obama, Provided She Can Find The Time After Satisfying Her Babies
Because, you know, her life is that full of lovely goodness and rainbows and fairy dust. Yes, it is just that much better than yours.
Angelina Jolie, citizen of the world (and possible founder of her own nation) and all-around better person than you, hints that she might be checking off the Obama box on her election ballot:
"Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay," she tells the German edition of Vanity Fair. "They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots."Still, Jolie - whose father, Jon Voight, has endorsed John McCain - says just because Obama would be a good example for her family isn't "reason enough to vote for him."
Well, she'd better get moving. Depending on what state she calls home (for this particular example, I'm going to use both Louisiana and California), and if she decides to use absentee voting (since they never stay in one spot for long) she's got until 8PM Election Day to get her vote in, but only until November 3 in Louisiana.
Frankly, I couldn't care less who Angelina is voting for, or any other celeb for that matter. Why is it that reporters always ask the celebs who they're voting for and why? Are their opinions any more or less valid than Joe Schmoe The Ragpicker up the road? In fact, I'd be more inclined to listen to ol' Joe, since he's probably more in tune with the problems facing the common man than a multi-millionaire like Angelina.
McCain or Obama, the important thing is that you vote...and the next important thing is that you don't let some celeb influence who you vote for. Have you seen how whacked-out some of these famous people are? Are you seriously going to take political advice from them?
