Angelina Jolie's Allegiance To People Magazine Is Having Repercussions
Last week Us Magazine came out with a rather tame article criticizing Angelina Jolie's recent behavior. The front cover was dire and extreme, but when you read the actual article - which I did - the tone was much more tempered and even-handed than I had hoped. Gawker even went so far as to accuse Us Magazine of being jealous for having been left on the sidelines of Jolie's latest adoption frenzy of 3-year old son Pax Thien. I think jealous isn't the right word. Perhaps disgusted, jaded or weary might be better terms - but jealous seems so obvious an emotion. Surely a major celebrity mag would have more at stake than to want to appear merely "jealous" of one of their competitors. Have they learned nothing from Jennifer Aniston?!Â
If so, then count Star Magazine green with envy and following suit. Their next issue paints an even starker picture for Brangelina, with bold headlines like, "Angelina Walks Out On Brad!...and Dumps The Kids!" According to Page Six, a snippet of Star's allegations against Angie:
This week, Star went with "Angelina Walks Out on Brad! . . . and Dumps the Kids!" The tab says Jolie reneged on her promise to stay home with her kids and flew off to Chicago to film "Wanted."
She's also slated to star in "Atlas Shrugged" and "The Changeling," while Pitt will be busy promoting "Ocean's Thirteen" and "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" and starting "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." When Jolie is in L.A., even though she has four full-time nannies, she leaves her three eldest kids at the $931-per-month preschool/day-care center on the Warner Bros. lot, Star reports, where other parents are upset with the special treatment Jolie gets. One flashpoint is a ban on cellphones because Jolie fears parents will take pictures of her kids.
Of course they also talk about the latest rumors of Angie and Brad bringing home a new child by the end of summer in order to "balance" out their brood. Supposedly Angelina has picked out a 1-year old girl from Chad, but TMZ is stating otherwise. Continued on the next page
