BlogWorldExpo and Glosslip.com Present The Film "His Highness Hollywood"
Glosslip is thrilled to announce that NYT bestselling author and filmmaker Ian Halperin will present his film, His Highness Hollywood, at BlogWorldExpo on Saturday, September 20, at 5:00pm at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Glosslip.com (a network site of Blogcritics.org) has partnered with BlogWorldExpo to screen the film during the 2nd annual BlogWorld and New Media Expo - Sept 20 - 21 in Las Vegas, NV. Click here for more information.
Regular readers of this site are familiar with author Ian Halperin as the renegade journalist who goes undercover to expose the sides rarely seen in the world of entertainment. After gaining praise and fame for his groundbreaking book on the death of Kurt Cobain, Ian has won journalism awards for his work, which includes behind the scenes looks at celebrities like Celine Dion, James Taylor and the shallow world of supermodels to name a few.
Ian's latest project, Hollywood Undercover, gives a revealing look at the often sordid world of Hollywood and the path to stardom. Not only did Ian infiltrate the movie-industry, but he helped expose the secretive cult behind the religion to the stars, Scientology. It is at these crossroads Glosslip and Halperin met.
In the world's first YouTube compatible book, Ian's details his journey in Hollywood in a documentary titled His Highness Hollywood named after the character he assumed while writing the book. "His Highness Hollywood" is Ian posing as a gay member of the Israeli royalty who seeks his fame in the fickle world of film-acting. The film's premiere in itself was legendary (read here for a our first-hand account from the National Arts Club in NY) with sabotage, hi-jinks and hilarity at every turn.
Ian, who has another book coming out in November about Britney Spears, is really excited to be able to present this film to bloggers at the BlogWorldExpo, and will be on hand to discuss the film, including a reception and a question and answer period after the film's screening. Glosslip's Dawn Olsen will be running the Q & A at the screening and those in attendance should stop by the Blogcritics/Technorati booth to get their invitation to the film.
