But reports say that events were more serious. Britney, it's said, "lost it" when her mother and father tried to sit her [down] and convince her to check herself into rehab. [...]
Lutfi, meanwhile, is said to have a history of tempestuous relationships as he reportedly has had three restraining orders taken out against him in California prior to forming a friendship with the pop star.
According to Blender magazine, Danny Haines, one of the people who obtained a court order, says Lufti was "more jealous than a lover".
Okay, I give up trying to chart the events of the night.
Furthermore, TMZ says that the long-awaited intervention is about to take place (I hope Brit doesn't read the website!):
Brit's mom and dad (and others) have known for months a bipolar disorder — and not substance abuse — is at the root of her problems. They cannot involuntarily commit her (impossible under these circumstances) and Brit has refused to voluntary enter a hospital or even undergo evaluation for the problem. But now the plan is underway.Here's what's significant: Britney has not spoken to her mom for a while — no contact at all. Last night, Britney and Lynn (along with Sam) left the house at one point and went to the drugstore, so it seems they are now interacting.
There were signs last night that Britney didn't feel as warm towards her dad, that she didn't want anything to do with him.
This move has been in the planning stages for well over a month. It should begin to unfold IF Britney cooperates, and that is the wild card.
