Britney Spears' Third House of Blues Show: Brief, Uninspired and Getting Really Old
An eleven minute set. That's what Britney delivered in her third concert in three days. That's one minute shy of her Anaheim HOB show and four minutes shorter than her first HOB show in San Diego.
TMZ reports:
Britney Spears gave the shortest show yet on her "comeback" minitour last night in LA – and TMZ spies report that none other than Lindsay Lohan was there to catch the action – all 11 minutes of it. Our eyes inside noted that Brit donned a new wig for her big show at L.A.'s House of Blues, and that it managed to stay on without the aid of a headband. There were no naughty references to drug use, as had been reported from another show, and Spears left the stage with a terse, "Thank you L.A."
A Callous Lack Of Regard. Disdainful. Disrespectful. Extraordinarily insulting. Contemptuous. Disgusting.
Those are the words I would use to describe Britney's attempts to take advantage of her dwindling fanbase. Unless you count Lindsay Lohan showing up and we all know attention-whores of a feather flock together. Seriously, what was the point of these shows: to showcase her lip-synching, her rusty dance moves, her desperate style choices? Why bother. I spent more time writing this post that she's put into her "comeback."
Britney didn't even try and worse yet, she's doesn't care.
I have a theory: Britney is deliberately sabotaging her own career. She's attempting to derail herself so her label will drop her and she can live her life in obscurity and devote herself to raising her children to be well-rounded, thoughtful members of society. It's obvious. Except for the part about Britney being a selfish, immature idiot.
The handful of people who actually still care about her as a human being are sick of her too.
I wonder what excitement her show Vegas on Saturday will hold. Don't be surprised if they just put up a cardboard cut out of Britney on stage while she trolls the strip for fast food joints. At least the cutout will lipsynch better than Britney and doubtless have better stamina.
