Britney Spears Turns Herself In To Be Booked
According to CelebTV.com, Britney followed a judge's orders to turn herself in for booking by her next court date, and it appears she has done just that:
Britney Spears followed through on a Judge's orders she was to turn herself into police for booking by her next court date in the misdemeanor hit-and-run case first reported here on CelebTV.com, and she did just that Monday night. CelebTV.com has learned Britney arrived at the Van Nuys division of the LAPD to be booked, photographed for a mugshot, and fingerprinted at 9PM Monday night. According to Officer Lopez with the Los Angeles Police Department public information office, Spears stayed until 9:50PM and was "cooperative and pleasant" through the entire process. She left with a citation in-hand detailing the charges against her for the bump-and-run accident in a Studio City, California parking lot last August.
You will recall that Brit hit a parked car belonging to Kim Robard-Rifikin in a parking lot, looked at the damage, then causally went shopping. She was ordered to be booked by her next court date, which is October 26.
Brit has been charged with one count of hit and run causing property damage, and one count of driving without a valid California driver's license. Both charges are misdemeanors and each carry a max of six months in jail.
It seems that Brit is finally taking some of this stuff seriously. That, or someone behind the scenes has their foot in her behind, forcing her to do the right things. I'm going for a 50/50 split on that. I would like to believe she truly want to do good, but she just doesn't know where to start. After all, she's lived in a bubble for years now, she has no clue how the real world works.
