Hulk Hogan: I Tried To Warn Them, Brutha - Page 3
As much as Terry wants to blame all the problems of his family on the reality show, the fact is that the reality show didn't force his son to drink underage or race his souped-up vehicle on public streets. Oh no...Nick made those decisions on his own. Could the show have had some influence on Nick's developing psyche, made him think he was invincible, made him believe he could do whatever and get away with it? Possibly...but there are people who think that every day and no cameras are anywhere near them...so while it probably was a factor, I don't believe the show changed Nick's entire personality. Some of that had to have been present before they were even approached about the show. And quite honestly, these are situations that Terry, as an ADULT, should have thought about and seen coming. It's yet another reason why I don't like to see kids in reality shows, and I do include teenagers in that.
Finally, the two parents, as ADULTS, hold responsibility for their actions as well. Terry didn't have to have an affair with his daughter's friend and assistant, but he did. Linda didn't have to go out with her daughter and be caught on video street racing and crowing to the camera about how much fun it is to outrun the cops, but she did. Hulk didn't have to purchase alcohol for himelf and his son's friends the day his son went out drinking and driving, but he did. I'm sure Brooke is suffering, and I don't blame her, but I don't know what she was expecting to happen. And the thing is, her so-called parents haven't given her any way of coping with all of this. Money can't buy it all, as I'm sure Brooke is finding out.
Grow up, Hulkster, and take responsibility for your actions and the actions that affected your family. The reality show had something to do with it, but don't try to put blame where it doesn't belong.
