Jolie Pimped Pics Of Pax, Will Her Halo Ever Be Tarnished? - Page 2
The Radar report points to an excellent article in Gawker about the inner machinations behind the whole Brangelina adoption process and how lucrative it is for some. To summarize, People magazine — using Getty Pictures as photo-brokering middleman — has deftly wormed their way into Angelina's good graces by doing as she asks, playing to her pet causes and only showing her good side, so to speak. In return they get exclusive rights to the major "events" in Angelina's lives. And by events we all know that means tangentially acquiring children, and more specifically remaking her image. Is it legal, sure. Is it ethical, I guess. Is it sneaky and manipulative, naturally.
The Gawker article has a very interesting source that gives some real insight into how it all happens, but the bottom line is: Angelina wants to control her image and People is more than willing to go along with that, because in the end they make tons of money selling magazines featuring Angie and her brood of multi-hued peeps from around the globe. Thankfully, the gravytrain and the endless adopted children pimping may have an end. At least TMZ's Harry Levine thinks so:
"How many shots of another kid she's adopting can you get before it all starts to feel the same?"
Exactly. And if you thinks it's all about the children, then you are as "distracted" as she hopes you are.
