Jon's not off the hook either, because Jon is the ultimate martyr/coward. Instead of stepping up and being a man, you allowed this craven, insane woman to jeopardize your children's future out of greed, emasculate you in front of them and essentially treat you like a piece of garbage. In retaliation, apparently you felt justified to just go out and cheat on her, which in reality is cheating on your whole family. Hard to say which is worse, your inability to man up or your wife's inability to see herself for who she is: a nasty piece of angry work.
Of course, to Jon and Kate, this is just free publicity for their show, and we all know publicity translates into $$$$$ and how else are they going to feed the hungry, ravenous beast they've created.
There's a lesson in all of this, which will sadly be lost on Jon and Kate as they allow this huge mess to spiral out of control. Fame and money = trouble. Especially for those incredibly ill-equipped to handle it. This whole celeb reality phenomenon might be one of the seven seals of the Apocalypse and it really needs STOP! Fame is a fickle mistress people, creating good fortune for some, and laying waste to others.
Be careful what you wish for, you might get what you deserve. Sadly, in the story of Jon and Kate, that seems to be quite evident, but I don't weep for them, but rather their children who've been deprived of normalcy, privacy, structure and two decent parents who only see them as meal tickets. I hope the Gosselins have invested all that money wisely, because they will need for extensive therapy for each of those kids.
Now, can we boycott these fame whores once and for all? What good is all the bitching about them if people are going to continue watching their show? Wake up and smell the BULLSH*T!
UPDATE: According to Kate's brother, Kevin Kreider, Jon and Kate split months ago and Kate's simply using all this attention to create more money and publicity for their final show, her book and her fame-whoring ass. I am just so SHOCKED.
