Not only where these Scientology press releases trumped up and extremely deceptive, they were reporting OLD news! Did they think no one would notice that the stories were old? Sadly, many readers don't know these stories are old news, and that is exactly what Scientology was counting on. So Scientology will talk...but only about phony and old PR.They will never talk about what really is going on within their cult. It's Scientology BS recycling BS.
Once again...Scientology doing it wrong.

I also find Katie's hush hush request very puzzling, due to the fact that Scientology has been on a spending spree and trying to refurbish its MANY unkept and vacant properties, so they can give the false appearance of continual success and expansion to its members, to keep the money rolling in, even though many of their "orgs" are as empty as ghost towns. There has been talk of Scientology actually having to ship in members from other orgs to make their PR pictures for their new orgs look like they are flourishing. But savvy people on the Why We Protest forum noticed that many of the members in these PR pictures were NOT from that particular org, and were actually from other orgs in other states.

Scientology did the same recently for their Malmo Sweeden org. Since they only had eleven actual members in that org, they had to bus people in from nearly 500 miles away to make it look like the opening was a huge success. The majority of the people in the Sweden PR picture were Hungarians according to WWP. The same deal when they had the PR pictures taken for their Nashville Tennessee org .

The PR picture for their Nashville org used some Sea Org members to pose in the picture to make it look like more staff and a full and happy org.

Recently, Scientology erected a giant brand new LED sign and golden cross on their LA Pac Base org also nicknamed "Big  Blue"  (because it is big and a bilious blue). This org was the book title of ex-Scientology member, John Duignan's book, The Complex. As this org was also called the Complex.
One has to wonder why it took Scientology so many years to fix this eye sore and why the rest of the building is still in such disrepair. It is probably way out of code, it has broken windows, an outdated and shoddy interior and probably needs a serious amount of work. But as long as it looks pretty (it's WAY ugly) from the front of the building and from afar in the night sky with their sparkling LED sign, Scientology continues on with their smoke and mirrors dog and pony show. I still don't understand why LA would allow such a huge sign to be erected in a semi residential area? But then again, they allowed Scientology to rename a street L. Ron Hubbard Way years ago. Why would ANY town allow a street to be renamed after a con man of a cult? One has to wonder what exactly happened in that ridiculous decision. BIG shame on you LA!!
