Obviously, this whole situation is truly awful and Garrison must pay for the consequences of his actions, but let's not let off those kids so easy. They also broke the law that evening, by drinking underage, and then clearly ignoring good common sense by getting in a car with a person they witnessed drinking, who also at some point, was using cocaine.
Just because someone is a celebrity doesn't mean you throw all the things your parents and teachers warned you about out the window. In fact, its probably a good idea to use extra caution with celebs, as many of them seem to possess far less brainpower than the average person.
To be honest, I feel sorry for everyone involved, including Lane who had to learn the hardest lesson of them all. Above is the Lane Garrison PSA for drunk driving. Very sad. Very real.
