Lindsay Lohan: "I Have Good People In My Life Now" - Page 2
Father Michael is proud of her as well. Excerpts from his Us Magazine interview:
“Lindsay’s so great. She’s her old self…I’m really proud of her. She’s really turned her life around.â€â€œShe had second thoughts about going back to LA, and didn’t want to be in that element before shooting started on the 15th…Everyone’s trying to get her back to LA. She said, ‘I don’t know if I want to go back there,’ and we all talked about it. I told her, ‘Then don’t – follow your heart.’â€
“She’ll live in a house [during outpatient rehab]. It doesn’t need to be glamorous. She’s come back to nature. She’s humbled herself in a great way.â€
“She understands her mother has to make money, but doesn’t necessarily agree with it. [on her mother's proposed reality television show]
“It’s a promise now that we’re back in each other’s lives again, we won’t walk back again. It’s a band with all diamonds, then another band with diamonds, and a solitaire diamond in the middle and another band.â€Â [on the "promise ring" he purchased for Lindsay]
I've ragged on Michael before for giving interviews, but it seems that Lindsay doesn't mind (even giving her own exclusive interview this week), so I guess if she thinks it is okay (and I don't think Michael would purposefully do something to jeopardize his newly kindled relationship with his daughter), then who am I to beat on him about it?
There will be a lot of pressure on Lindsay in the coming months. Not only will she be facing temptations from old habits, but she's also facing the glare of the media, just waiting for her to slip up. That's a lot to handle. I certainly do hope that Lindsay is up to the task, and if she continues as she is now she will be. I am cautiously optimistic, and I do wish her all the best in the world.
Now, if we could just book Britney on a flight to Utah...
