If it wasn't for the sheriff calling and offering to provide airboats and $5,000, he might have taken his search team somewhere else.

"If that is the truth, that she gave this child to a family to take care of Caylee, I'm upset because we have spent $28,000 for this case and we're getting calls from all over the country that want our service that has a legitimate missing child," Miller told Eyewitness News.
But the apple don't fall far from the tree...Casey is not cooperating with investigators or EquuSearch either.  And I agree with Tim Miller, in that they are spending all this time trying to search basically with their hands tied behind their backs and blindfolds over their eyes, because they are getting no cooperation from the family.  It's pretty rich that Cindy would rag on EquuSearch, who came and looked because they care about missing children, while steadfastly sticking up for the lies her daughter continues to tell.  Allegedly, of course.

However, having said that, I encourage anyone in the area, if you can at all, to join the search; the latest info I can find is that they are meeting at the Holiday Inn located at 5750 T.G. Lee Boulevard, Orlando.  The search this week is vital considering the storms currently heading towards the Florida area.  It has been said that people aren't joining the search because they are so turned off by Cindy and Casey, but to my mind that is all the more reason to look...to not only find the body of this precious little child, but to show to these two once and for all that you can't get away with something like this.  And if you can't go but still want to help, they are in need of food for the searchers.  If you can't do any of these things, you can always donate, either via the internets or in person, and it all goes for a good cause:

Mounted SAR Team
P. O. Box 395
Dickinson, TX 77539

(It may or may not be important, but it is interesting to me that on the "Help" and "Volunteer" pages of the website set up to help find Caylee, as of this writing there is not one mention of EquuSearch or how to help them or donate to that organization, but there's all kinds of information on how to donate money or goods directly to the family or where to volunteer at stations run by the family.  And yes, in case you were wondering, they also accept gift cards that will be used in the family's efforts to search.)
