I find it hard to believe that Coale would find her "fascinating" or that his only agenda is to "help" her. Followers of Scientology just don't work that way. Scientologists, especially the powerful ones, have one common goal, to further Scientology. If you believe Coale's intentions are true, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. There are no freebies in Scientology.
So how does Scientology fit in the man behind Greta Van Susteren? Besides being a well known Washington lawyer, he is also an OT VII (Operating Thetan 7) which is currently only one level away from the highest OT level on Scientology's Bridge To Total Freedom.
What can an OT 7 do? In truth, nothing a none-OT 7 can do, but according to Scientology, they can "project intention." Here's a fair use extract from Scientology's OT VII Advanced Technology. Part of an OT-VII Scientology drill is the following, "Find some plants, trees, etc., and communicate to them individually until you know they have received you communication." Apparently John thought that this "knowledge" was DEFINITELY worth every penny of the over $300,000.00 he spent to get to that level. You know what they say, knowledge is power, and apparently really expensive.
Coale also backed Hillary Clinton in the primary. No surprise there. Bill Clinton was very receptive of John Travolta's pleas for him to ask Germany to be more warm and fuzzy with Scientology. Despite prior friendliness towards Democrats, Coale then shocked everyone by backing McCain in the presidential election and has been sucking up to Governor Palin ever since.
He also represented Lisa Marie Presley in her divorce from Michael Jackson. Wasn't that divorce so tragic?
Since last August, he has been on the Board of Directors of UMMS (University of Maryland Medical System). ...YES a Scientologist on the Board of the UMMS Medical System. I kid you not.
He was appointed to that position by Governor Martin O’Malley after Coale "lent" him $500,000 to clear up his 2006 campaign debts. What a splendid idea O'Malley had! Especially when you consider Scientology's main missions is to "obliterate psychiatry". No conflict of interest there!
Coale is also known as an ambulance chaser. He aquired the name "Bhopal Coale" for swooping into India after the 1984 Union Carbide Corp. poison gas leak that killed more than
2,000 people.
