The Denise Richards And Charlie Sheen Traveling Freak Show Rolls On, Now With New And Improved Sleaze
How do I start an article like this one? I swear, this whole Charlie/Denise he said/she said thing just gets weirder and weirder. With the ratings for her reality show tanking faster than her performance in The World Is Not Enough, Denise called for an emergency court meeting claiming that Charlie molested their two daughters:
Richards dragged Sheen into a Los Angeles courtroom early last week for a mysterious "emergency" child-custody hearing to screen videos of their girls, Sam and Lola, supposedly acting in strange and disturbing ways. Sheen's lawyers - who got the "evidence" dismissed - presented their own videos of the girls acting normally at his house.A source said, "Denise's accusations were vile. She was basically trying to say Charlie [manipulated] the kids and acted inappropriately with them. It's disgusting and totally untrue. Charlie is furious . . . Denise has really pushed it too far this time.
"She came after Charlie because the ratings on her E! reality show ['It's Complicated'] have tanked and they were threatening not to renew," the source said.
"She thinks a court battle would be good for ratings so she wants all overnight visits with the girls ceased, and monitored visits with her nanny. She invited the media circus to the hearing and even wanted reporters in the judge's chambers - which wasn't allowed. It's ridiculous."
Charlie has had enough and is coming out swinging:
Sheen is said to be so furious, he's "out to prove Denise's lack of veracity and sue her in civil court for defamation. Then he'll sue for child custody."Sheen feels Richards has defamed him, especially after she denied sending [current wife] Brooke an e-mail in which she claims to want his sperm for another child. Richards says the e-mail is a fake. Sheen claims he has the e-mail and is getting forensic computer geeks to verify its authenticity.
"Charlie has now been forced to take a stand and do what's best for the girls," our insider said. Reps for Richards and Sheen declined comment.
All this from the mom who thought it was okay to whore out her children on television for ratings. After all, putting the lives of toddlers and young kids on TV can't possibly be bad for their developing psyches, can it?
Look. Fighting over custody and visitation and dental bills and whether or not they get vanilla ice cream (like they get at mom's) or chocolate ice cream (like they get at dad's) before bedtime is one thing. Accusing your ex-husband of child molestation is another thing entirely. That is serious business and definitely not something to throw around lightly.
