Today Is World Alzheimer's Day
Every seventy-one seconds, someone develops Alzheimer's.
Sadly, so many are friendless and alone...perhaps they are being cared for but have nobody to be their friend. Maybe, perhaps, they aren't even being cared for properly.
Is there a neighbor that you could visit, is there a place you could volunteer, are there some errands you could run, is there a caregiver you could relieve for a few hours, is there anything you could do for a person or their family who are dealing with this horrible disease? They may not remember you were there, they may not even be able to say thanks, but they are deserving of love and care just the same.
You can also visit the Alzheimer's Association website, where you can educate yourself about this disease, learn how you can make a difference, and donate to help find a cure.
