With that kind of wealth and fame and a super-close affiliation with a group known for recruiting the wealthy and famous, we should be asking ourselves: who's driving this Tom Cruise PR train Tom or Scientology? The answer is both, as they are inseparable entities.
Nips and tucks here, smiles and winks there are just the icing on the cake. But the cake unfortunately is what Tom and his Scientology cronies are trying to make us forget, and that's the crazy recipe of big business dodging taxes, bilking the unwitting, making undeliverable promises and promoting dangerous anti-psychiatry agendas.
Tom should have stuck to what he did best: making films dudes dig and giving big toothy smiles women love. Cruise's most tragic flaw was putting all his eggs in the Scientology basket, which as of late has come up smelling pretty rotten. Just remember, what's good for Tom Cruise is good for Scientology. So far, Valkyrie, despite Tom's hard and far-reaching push has only mustered $132 million worldwide and not one Oscar nod.
