NujabesThe news is roughly 12 hours old...but a great Japanese hip hop artist, going by the name "Nujabes" (real name Jun Seba), has been officially claimed as deceased at 36-years old today.

Nujabes collaborated with numerous hip hop artists from all over the world, and even had his music on popular Japanese cartoons such as "Samurai Champloo" (which you Cartoon Network viewers may recognize). Nujabe's music is primarily sample based, while incorporating live instruments like guitar, piano and sax and has a silky, jazz quality.  Seba also owned independent label Hyde-Out Productions.

There is no real controversy of his death, as he died in a car wreck in Japan, but he actually died in February, but due to his private nature and his family's wishes, was not made public until today. If you have never heard Nujabes, may I introduce one of his more popular songs: "Feather."
