Brett Dennen at Fox Theatre on New Year's Eve With Live Streaming

Brett Dennen winds up his amazing 2009 with a special New Year's Eve show in his native Bay Area at the Fox Theatre in Oakland wiht special guests ALO and SambaDa.

Brett’s 54-city winter-spring tour featured Life Is Good as a partner, and both Brett and ALO played for tens of thousands at Life is good Festivals in Boston, St. Louis and San Francisco in the summer and fall. Their vocal support for the Life is good Kids Foundation throughout the year helped this nonprofit organization raise over $900,000 in 2009 for children facing life-threatening conditions.

SambaDa, an unannounced guest will perform with Brett. A special NYE web page by Brett includes details, maps, restaurant suggestions and deals. Brett's show will be powered by Livestream allowing fans to listen to a live webcast of the Dennen NYE show. Joining the party and performance is Brushfire Recording artists ALO and several local area musician who promise to ring in 2010 new year with a bang.

With Livestream as the exclusive streaming provider, the player for the webcast can be embedded anywhere. Integration with Facebook and Twitter allows viewers to engage in an online conversation with other fans and the band. The performance will also be encoded for the iPhone, making the broadcast accessible to over a million iPhone users with a 3G wireless connection at http://iphone.livestream.com/brettdennenalolive

In 2008, Brett released his rise to fame album Hope for the Hopeless and has been touring ever since.  He has criss-crossed USA, European tours, and over a dozen festival appearances. Dennen has appeared on The Tonight Show, Conan, David Letterman, an entire Carson show devoted to Brett. The singles "Make you Crazy" with Femi Kuti and "Heaven" with Natalie Merchant have been big hits on the radio and with critics.

In November, Brett released a new iTunes EP with NYC-based ex-pats Forro in the Dark, who have previously recorded with Steve Earle, David Byrne, The Brazilian Girls, and recently Thom Yorke. Brett and Forro recorded Brazilian flavored versions of song from his 2007 Hope for the Hopeless, as well as the original "Joan of Arc."
