Lane and Hayden

Well, this is it. Tonight on a special two-hour finale we say goodbye to Big Brother and the houseguests we were introduced to so very long ago.

What is there to say? I can’t do a recap of the season, though if I tried it would certainly be no worse than the clip-show CBS rolled out on Sunday. MTV had it right by calling their clip shows The $#!* They Should’ve Shown. CBS rehashed old moments with very little new material. I will say that I appreciated the added footage of the Zingbot 3000. I said it when he premiered and I will say it again, I would buy a Zingbot. Do you hear me, CBS gift shop? I would pay American dollars for a little toy that zang (?) me. Moving on.

The final three, Lane, Hayden and Enzo are currently enjoying their last night in the house.

All three have played pretty good games. I guess that’s a given to make it this far. If you try and simplify it, you come up with an obvious winner rather easily. But it isn’t always so simple.

Enzo gets a lot of credit for his social game. This was said by Britney and Ragan. Someone like Rachel might also appreciate that. But once the news about The Brigade hits the jury house, I hope people will see that he was carried the entire way. His one job was to be polite. He did this well and added a great sense of humor. But that was all. Everyone else won for him. He did, however, win the only PoV he had to win and is credited with creating The Brigade on day two which can be considered the power move to end all power moves.

Lane, up to now, has only won one HoH. He was the second to last one to be nominated in the house and he was part of an alliance that ran the game. He is in the same boat as Enzo where he just had to stay cool. His alliance with Britney can be seen as a smart move because it gave him a safety net and allowed him to get an idea of what the rest of the house was thinking about the rest of The Brigade. If he wins the final HoH it of course helps his cause.

Then there is Hayden, the obvious choice. He won three HoH competitions (if you count the first one) and performed better than everyone throughout the game. He got along with everyone and survived a showmance while his better-half went home. His ability to win when it mattered really stood out and it can be argued that The Brigade didn’t win until they had to, which is how they cleaned house at the end.

I think the acceptable limit of exclamation points is three (!!!). You learn a lot about someone by how long they hesitate when asked, "What is your go to karaoke song?" (1. Lisa Loeb "Stay," 2. Anything found under Joel comma Billy). …
