HBO's True Blood Creator Alan Ball Gives Us A Peek At Season 3
True Blood fans are getting as antsy for details on the upcoming third season as a hungry vampire in a room full of menstruating women. Luckily, show creator Alan Ball gave CNN some deets:
“I don’t think people will be disappointed in Season Three. We are taking everybody to some new places. We are revisiting some old relationships that maybe we thought were over. There’s going to be a lot of new characters coming in. I can tell you that you will see Werewolves. We’ll find out a little bit more about exactly what Sookie is, which is that she is not entirely human. Bill and Sookie’s relationship will be put to a serious, serious test. Sam’s gonna meet his biological family. And I think Tara will find true love eventually, but I’m not sure she will find it in Season Three. “

Vampire Bill and Sookie Stackhouse
So, you got that? Werewolves, Sookie and Bill hit a rough patch and shapeshifting Sam meets the parents. The third season is set to begin the middle of next year, with filming starting in December. In the meantime, I've been filling in the space in between reading the Charlaine Harris books (sometimes referred to as, The Sookie Stackhouse Series, which the show is based on) and while it pales in comparison, sort of like synthetic blood, it's better than going cold turkey.
