Freedom of speech is (still) a utopia in Italy

Later, even Aldo Busi expressed his decision to leave the show and took full advantage of the television cameras to launch an invective against clerics and the Italian Government. His speech has been subject of several negative reactions, mainly from Catholic politicians; the public television company - controlled by Italian politicians - decided to exclude him from any other public television show.

The old series of love

Another very famous show is “Uomini e Donne” (Men and Women). “Uomini e Donne” is a place for young and beautiful guys and dolls to get attention of one person of the opposite gender, usually screaming and arguing with each other. Lately, the production raises the bar introducing a new version of “Uomini e Donne”, called “Dame e Cavalieri” (Madams and Cavaliers), where the program is still the same, but the competitors are 60, 70 or 80 years old. “Uomini e Donne” is virtually intolerable and its successor, “Dame e Cavalieri,” adds an element of sorrow to the show, making it impossible to watch.

And life can be worst than a reality show

The winner of latest edition of The Big Brother, after a very long show of 134 days, suddenly became ill, while the host cynically kept on peppering him with  questions. Clearly reality TV is often worse than real life "reality."
