The Real Housewives of NYC premieres tonight at 11pm on Bravo. I've already done an article on the upcoming premiere, but I feel the need to speak my piece here.

First off, I wanted to remind all the fans that tonight was the night. Secondly, I absolutely had to weigh in on the Kelly Bensimon interview released today on People Magazine, TV Watch.

I sat open-mouthed and shaking my head reading Kelly's take on her own behavior and the behavior of her castmates. Look, it was obvious from last season Kelly is seriously lacking in verbal skills. Her intelligence, to me, is questionable based on her inability to communicate effectively. But she did manage to be snarky, mean, and make some failed attempts at condescension. She also set up an attack on Bethenny with claws and fangs bared in response to something Bethenny said that she didn't like. What Bethenny said was minor compared to what she recieved. Kelly seems to believe she is the only one of the cast that is real, honest, quiet, not mean, not starting trouble etc..

She accuses Bethenny of fabricating everything that happens between them for media attention. Um, excuse me, there is a serious disconnect here and not just between Kelly's brain and her mouth. Now it seems her memory has some major issues. Even if she didn't remember her own words and behavior on the show, I am sure at some point she watched the footage, and she certainly watched it on the reunion show. Bethenny didn't fabricate anything. And if we are going to talk about looking for media attention, who just posed for the cover of Playboy? Not to mention patting yourself on the back in the media that at age 42 "it's all still there." There was an awful lot of draping going on for someone who has it all "still there."
