Blog Focus is Technorati's daily roundup of the top stories as told by the bloggers of the world. Each day five posts, no matter how popular or nascent, will be selected by editors to portray a general unscientific reaction to discussion points around the 'Net.

Visions of succulent turkeys, buttery mashed potatoes and fresh baked rolls have been dancing within some of our dreams as the holiday season approaches. With Thanksgiving only two weeks away, it is not too soon to start thinking about all of the challenges this time of year brings.

Writers have been turning their focus on how to prepare for the November feast. What do we do with the myriad of family and friends coming into town, how do we feed that vegan cousin and not to mention how the heck do we stick with our diet and exercise goals when grandma brings out her famous pumpkin pie? Bloggers offer tips and and advice before you tuck in that napkin and dig in.

MotleyHealth.com: "Only regular and consistent exercise combined with a calorie restricted diet will get you the holiday weight loss results we are seeking. If you do not think that you have the time to exercise then here are some additional tips to get you more active."

Esquire.com: "Two thousand calories in one sitting? That's more than a man should consume in an entire day. Be thankful for The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper, who offers us an easy, dish-by-dish workout to undo your holiday damage in just one week."

The Clutter Diet Blog: "This Thanksgiving, why not plan ahead and give thanks to YOURSELF for being so organized? Imagine enjoying the preparations and festivities more and not feeling so rushed and scattered!"

The Lunchbox Bunch: "But don't fret, your vegan Thanksgiving feast will be a smash hit, if I have anything to do about it. But before you can start mashing the potatoes, boiling the cranberries and dotting your yams with Dandies marshmallows, there are a few basics to grasp."

Rachelle Wood: "This holiday celebration is often considered the biggest meal before Christmas, and dieters often give into the temptation and can consume over 1500 calories in just one meal. By the way, that’s as many calories as I eat in 1 day. This year you can stay on track by carefully pre-planning your dietary options and knowing the right excuses. Besides I’m sure you’ve probably tried pumpkin pie before and know what it tastes like."
