Jon & Kate Plus 8, Now Minus 1
Seems as if the Jon and Kate (Gosselin) Plus 8 saga is over. It's official. The reality TV couple with eight children have officially been given the "ok" by a jodge to proceed with a divorced after a 10-year marriage and a break up that was as public as any in recent years.
"I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on the children," Kate said in a statement. "On behalf of myself and my legal team, I want to express my deep appreciation to the Judge and his staff, as well as to the arbitrator, for resolving this case."
She added: "This has been a challenging transition for all of us, but I am confident that we will move ahead with the important task of restructuring our lives."
Despite the divorce, there is no word yet as to what will happen to the TLC show, which helped build the Gosselin phenomenon. A source close to Kate Gosselin told PEOPLE magazine that a new show will focus solely on Kate and not the children.
