Who Doesn't Like Cupcakes?

With the holidays just around the corner, there is a celebration going on today that is quite fitting for the way consumers increase their calorie in-take like hibernating bears — National Cup Cake Day.
Here are some good round up posts about this sweet holiday:
All Recipes.com has a fantastic top 20 cupcake recipe list, which includes a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake (mmmmmm) and the Red Velvet Cupcake.
Check out the LA Times that does a fantastic round-up of local "sweeteries" (eateries) that will temp the most die-hard work-out nut around.
How about cupcakes that come with a little stardom, including ones that are endorsed by the Kardashian ladies?
Got some cash? In LA? Why not a cupcake that's worth $750? Yes, that's right, $750.
Even some celebs are caught up in the National Cup Cake day hype:
@greer_grammer so apparently today is national cupcake day?!?!!! you know what that means! should I bake funfetti or red velvet cupcakes?!
-Greer Grammer, Model
Since the holiday falls on the 15th, one innovative bakery in the Oregon area decided to make every 15th purchase free.
While National Cupcake Day falls on the 15th of December, there are other days, that are centered around certain flavors, including National Chocolate Cupcake Day on October 18 and National Vanilla Cupcake Day on Nov 10.
