The world's largest cruise ship, the Oasis of the Seas, arrived into the port of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida this morning at 8 a.m.

Crowds gathered at John U. Lloyd state park beach as early as 6 a.m. to ensure they had a good spot in order to view this amazing ship. The crowd cheered as the ship approached. The ship was accompanied by several small boats shooting water cannons as it pulled into the port.

Not only does the size of the ship make it unique, but it is the first ship to have a "neighborhood" concept. The ship is divided into seven neighborhoods, each with a theme. There is a Youth Zone, a Coney Island style Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, Entertainment Place, Vitality at Sea Spa, Pool and Sport Zone and Central Park.

The naming ceremony will be on November 30 of this year. The ship's maiden voyage is December 5.
