Anthony Lock recently finished his first class honours at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch New Zealand, with degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy. He is currently writing a dissertation touching on topics from the scientific method to the public understanding of the sciences, humanities and arts, whilst freelance writing for various publications. His research interests include evolutionary study, aesthetic theory, the work of Orwell and Hitchens, and the acquisition of meaning in language and analysis. He has a forthcoming publication in the 2012 edition of The Rutherford Journal. He has written for OpenDemocracy and scoop.co.nz, and worked with Australian Geographic, Your Money Magazine and The Real News Network. He currently resides in Sydney.
