Keep Your Guns Out Of My Frappuccino
Not everyone is thrilled with firearm laws. Some stores have disallowed people to bring guns into their premises. Others, such as Starbucks, have done nothing, and even said they will remain compliant with varying states' laws.
And that's why anti-gun violence groups are whipping up a foamy frenzy by protesting outside Starbucks' annual meetings in Seattle. Try and counter Paul Helmke's logic, you barista-istas!
"There are no guns allowed at the Starbucks shareholder meeting. There are no guns allowed at the Starbucks headquarters building. Starbucks employees are not allowed to bring guns to work. Why does the company allow customers with guns?"
Perhaps because the caffeine makes them so jittery that they're probably going to miss anyways.
Actually, I have no idea why. Guns and coffee are not a lethal mix. And those who fall back on stereotypes would say that the coffeehouse crowd and the NRA enthusiasts are, on a Venn diagram, not really overlapping. Although they do have much in common, such as dropping disposable income on unnecessarily expensive items.
