NY-23: It's Getting Dicey Out There
As voting nears its wacky conclusion in the 23rd congressional district of New York, the battle lines are becoming messier than the final skirmish in Braveheart. Perhaps if it was more like the first Braveheart war montage, at least there'd be some buttocks being flashed. But the pranks seem to be more dastardly than that.
At some polling areas in St. Lawrence County, there are some strange happenings, including one being passed along by Democratic chairwoman June O'Neill who says "there's some woman claiming to be a commissioner. Commissioner of what, I don't know. She's from Texas, I think, and she won't leave." Commissioner of the Universe, maybe? Hey, she sounds important! Let her speak.
Perhaps she was the opening act for Joe Biden, who dropped in to say hello and oh by the way vote for Democrat Bill Owens.
Meanwhile, a Get Out The Vote volunteer in Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman's camp had their tires slashed. In not as many words, he's blaming Democrats.
Other than that, all is well! Remain calm! We'll have election updates as they swing in.
