Erick Erickson / PBSNotable conservative blog/community RedState.com is seeing its most prominent personality become a regular contributor to CNN's John King, USA. With their burgeoning list of frequent microphone-equipped thinkers, this will likely prompt their Atlanta studio to install stadium seating to accommodate all their pundits.

RedState editor Erick Erickson broadcasted his new gig concurrent with CNN's press release of the announcement. His schoolboy-caliber glee is impossible to contain:

CNN made an offer I couldn’t refuse. I’ve joined the network. Starting next Monday, you’ll be seeing a lot of me. I’m very excited by the opportunity.

The Macon, Georgia, native will no doubt be one of the mouthpieces for the conservative reaction to news items discussed on King's show, so it'll be fun to see how quick he is on his feet against those with opposing views and perhaps more on-camera experience.

But that's not the real story. I've always thought Erick Erickson was kind of a phony name. It has to be a pseudonym. Hopefully that's one of the first controversies they address on the show.
