You may have expected this on your favorite Democratic-pandering blog, but sure enough it was recited by Senator Roland Burris on the floor as a sardonic seasonal sonnet to the tune of "Twas The Night Before Christmas." Wanna see? Of course ya' do.

In his work of either Congressional fan-fiction or optimistic foreboding, Burris throws some eggnog on the faces of health care reform's most vocal detractors:

Despite the obstructionist tactics of some,
the filibuster had broken, the people had won

And a good bill was ready for President Obama,
ready to sign and end health care drama.

I'm terribly disappointed there was no "On Boxer, on Schumer, on Baucus and Durbin! On Kerry, on Feingold, on Leahy and Franken!"

And now for Senator Joe Lieberman's rendition of "I Have A Little Aetna." (He made it out of clay.)
