Weiner Cries Treatment
This news should most certainly not come as a surprise to the masses. Particularly, we seem to be in an era where those who fall to scandal seem to all handle it exactly the same way. If it at first you don’t succeed in your pursuits, then cry, cry, cry treatment.
Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) has been encouraged by personal representatives, family and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Schultz is just one of Weiner’s Democratic colleagues that have urged him to seek treatment outside of the confines of public office.
Weiner has been expressing interest in mayoral office for New York City since 2005. It is obviously safe to say that his prospects for that position are anything but possible. May 27th Weiner sent a link via Twitter to a photograph on yfrog showing an erection through his briefs to a 21-year old woman in Bellingham, Washington. The young lady was a follower of his on Twitter. After attempting to lie by saying that his account had been hacked, he later conceded and admitted that the pictures were indeed sent by him.
Sex sells. There have been countless sex and adultery scandals with celebrities and those in public office. Tiger Woods and Jesse James have been very high up in the adulterous food chain lately. No doubt, their entrance into treatment facilities is designed to smooth things over in the eyes of a naïve public. In response to the public’s interest or dismay in their private affairs, they attempt to smooth things over by publicly admitting that they will seek some form of treatment to fix their ailments.
