Where's The Health Care Bipartisanship?
A mammoth well over 1900 pages bill was presented by Congress after several close doors meetings intended to fuse together several versions of the Health Care Bill.
If I remember correctly, our President promised bipartisanship, to listen to those with dissenting opinions, and to ensure maximum transparency in all government operations.
After everybody claimed that the Public option was dead, miracle of miracles, is alive and well again. After Congress ridiculed Tea Party goers and town hall meeting protesters who raised their voices protesting end of life counseling, guess what? It is alive and well. After we were promised that nobody making under $250,000 would see their taxes raised by a dime, this new bill has more taxes, excises, and surtaxes that I quit counting.
This Bill was produced by the Democrat portion of Congress with no input from Independents or Republicans.
I’m confused… weren’t those the politics of the last 40 years? And didn’t we realize that those same politics didn’t really work?
