Marv Albert 50 CentIt's rare that sportscasters get much national recognition outside of the world of sports, but Marv Albert, because of his signature "YEESSS!" call over the years, as well as his, um, bedroom behavior, have raised his profile a bit.

Well, he has a fan in Jimmy Kimmell, and the late night host had him on his show last night, only a more high profile guest wasn't so accommodating. Rapper 50 Cent was the show's musical guest, and when Albert and a TNT employee who accompanied him entered the studio, some of Mr. Cent's entourage didn't want to let them through:

There was shouting ("It's Marv Albert," yelled a Kimmel show guard, a pronouncement that seemed to have no effect on the 50 Cent phalanx.) There were obscenities. A fist or two flying. A "Don't you put your hands on me" pronouncement.

Order was eventually restored and Albert was allowed to pass through and went on the show with no further incident, where he was able to talk Lakers with Kimmell.
