Brede Hangeland, Norway’s National Team Captain who joined Fulham in January 2008, was set to see his contract expire in 2010.

The contract status was raising concerns because there was no news about his contract renewal or a new contract with any other A Class Club, though there was speculation about him joining Arsenal in January 2010.

Fulham has done extremely well after Hangeland joined them in 2008, emerging as one of the strongest defenders for Fulham in last two years. The manager (Roy Hodgson) and the management were definitely happy with his performance, which led to the renewal of this contract for next three years. The stability should boost his tempo and enable him to concentrate on his game more fully.
