It didn't take long for Kyle Stanley to avenge his meltdown at the Farmers Insurance Open. Stanley overcame eight strokes during the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open to earn his first career PGA Tour win. Stanley lead by three strokes on the final hole last week but made triple bogey and lost in a playoff to Brandt Snedeker.

Stanley played the final round without a bogey on his way to shooting a 6-under, 65. He made six birdies on Sunday including back to back birdies on two and three and again on thirteen and fourteen. For the tournament Stanley made 18 birdies and two eagles to finish at 15-under par, one stroke better than Ben Crane (-14) and two better than the 54 hole leader Spencer Levin (-13).

Stanley earned $1,098,000 and earned 500 FedEx Cup points to move into first place in the standings.

Spencer Levin looked like he was a lock for the win coming into the final round on Sunday. He started the round ahead by six strokes and looked to be on cruise control when he made birdie on the third hole. Bogies on the fourth and sixth hole were the beginning of Levin's collapse. He would go on to shoot 4-over (75) with four bogies and a double bogey on the 15th. During his first three rounds he had made just two bogies all together.

Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler both finished in a tie for 26th. Mickelson, a two-time winner of this event, was 2-over (73) while Fowler was 2-under (69). In three PGA Tour starts this season Mickelson is yet to finish in the top 10. It was Fowler's second start of the season as he continues to search for his first PGA Tour victory.

The PGA Tour heads to Pebble Beach for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. D.A. Points is the defending champion and Tiger Woods makes his 2012 PGA Tour debut.
