New Mexico men's basketball coach Steve Alford was well-schooled in the virtues of cursing people out, having played for Bobby Knight at Indiana. But Alford always struck me as a bit kinder and gentler than The General.
Apparently not. It's unclear what exactly went wrong between Alford and BYU player John Tavernari, but something said between the two prompted Alford to end the conversation by calling him an 'asshole.' Unfortunately for Alford, cameras were rolling.
